Some things to know before choosing accommodation

There are things you need to know before booking Italy hotels. Choosing an area of Rome to lodge, for example,  requires careful planning. The Eternal City is very large and extended. Of course the criteria will fit the purpose and duration of your visitand your own particular style.

If you think to visit Rome for a few days, browse the hundreds of hotels in Rome, be careful with the location, if you're in the centre, Piazza di Spagna, St. Peter's Square and Via Veneto, you will not have problems, but if it choose the suburbs, which are less expensive, beware that the subway (Metro) is not too far. If you seek quiet, a 15-minute Metro ride to a comparatively peaceful part of the city should be considered; infact, proximity to public transportation should always be taken into account.

If you think to stay here for a long period (from five days onwards), it's better that you choose between the Rome apartments, so you can have lower costs, not only for sleep but also to eat. For families, access to parks will come into play. Thus, establishing your own criteria for the right neighbourhood comes first.

Finally, do not forget to book a Rome airport transfer, Fiumicino airport is very chaotic, and it is not easy to find a taxi in Ciampino airport.
